- Architectural barriers
Our hotel has a lift suitable people with disabilities. The roof terrace, the lawn, and some rooms are wheelchair friendly.
- Arrival
We await for you with great pleasure! Here you can find some details for a safe and problem-free arrival.
- Cancellation
You can no longer come? Please let us know as soon as possible. No cancellation fee will be applied until 4 weeks before your expected date of arrival. From 4 weeks before arrival, we will be forced to charge you 70 % of the total amount of your booking.
- Check-In
Your room will be available from 2:00 p.m. Please let us know if you are planning to be here after 6:00 p.m.
- Courtesy collection service
We will be glad to come to greet you in Merano. Please let us know your needs at the time of booking.
- Discounts for children and three in a room accommodation
For three people sleeping in a double room, we can offer a discount of 30% to 50% for children up to 12 years old.
- Holiday cancellation insurance
We clearly hope that you can have your holiday exactly as planned. However, in case of cancellation, our cancellation conditions shall apply (see Cancellations). To avoid any problems, we suggest that you take a cancellation insurance. For example with Europäische Reiseversicherung.
- Luggage service
If you prefer to travel light, we will be happy to organise the shipment of your luggage with an external courier. In this case, please let us know with due notice.
- Themed weeks
Our themed weeks run during the whole holiday period, and are appreciated for their variety and the original highlights. Here you will find a list of the activities.
- Vegans and allergies
Our chefs will be able to adapt our menus to your personal needs. With reasonable notice, we will be happy to prepare vegetarian dishes for you. And also mild intolerance issues are not a problem for the Krause Hotel. However, please note that we do not offer dietary or specific dishes. Please let us know your needs as soon as possible, so that we can prepare ourselves as best as possible. Rooms: Our Torre suite and the Girasole and Lavanda rooms are suitable for people suffering from allergies, and therefore have wooden floors. Please contact us for more information.

Every week we meet for a welcome drink on our beautiful sunny terrace, where we will explain to you our weekly program and the activities for your holiday week.
- Bar & and Terrace in the sun
Our sunny bar with terrace is open until 11:00 p.m.: for a cappuccino and strudel in the afternoon, a refreshing drink before dinner, a glass of wine or a cool beer after your day out.
- MeranCard
Every guest at the Hotel Krause gets a special surprise! The NEW free MeranCard is valid for both summer and winter, and entitles you to many wonderful benefits, including:
- Free use of public transport throughout (!) South Tyrol
(including the Verano, Meltina, San Genesio and Maranza cable cars, the Colle and Renon cableways, the Mendola funicular and the Renon train)
- One-time entrance to more than 80 museums in South Tyrol
- 10% discount on ski and bike hire at "Papin Sport" and "Sportservice Erwin Stricker" rental stores
- Car Park
Right in front of our hotel is a free car park, mostly covered.
- Excursions & Leisure time
Our hotel in Tirolo is the ideal starting point for many walks or mountain outings. Once a week you can enjoy the company of your host Stephan Krause, who will take you on one of our popular guided tours. Every day our family will provide you with personal recommendations on what to see in Merano and the surrounding areas. You can also find a varied program at the tourist office, with many activities in which you will be able to take part. There really are endless fun possibilities. Some highlights: direct access to the Lagundo canal path, the Tappeiner walk, the wine path, and Castel Tirolo.
- Family atmosphere
Our guests will appreciate the personal atmosphere and the tranquillity. You will always find a happy family environment. The Krause family and the whole team know all the guests personally and try to satisfy all their needs.
- Half board – Breakfast and dinner
Every day you can enjoy our buffet breakfast offering a wide range of quality regional delicacies and our menu with a selection of 4 dishes in the evening, accompanied by a generous fresh salad buffet. In addition, every week we will also offer extraordinary culinary events, such as the farmer's breakfast, the Prosecco breakfast, a candlelight dinner and a speciality evening.
- Pets
Due to hygienic reasons, we are unable to accept pets in our hotel.
- Smokers
Smoking is not allowed in all hotel rooms and hotel indoor premises. You can enjoy your smoking on the balconies, on the large sunny terrace, or in the gardens.
- Swimming pool & Garden
Enjoy our Mediterranean gardens with heated outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and relaxation areas with breath-taking views of Merano and the surrounding area.
- Wellness area
Our wellness area with views of the surrounding landscape can be accessed free of charge by our guests. The facilities include a relaxation area, a Finnish sauna and biosauna, Turkish bath, infrared cabin with saline spray, and a sunny terrace with Jacuzzi, as well as spectacular views of Merano, Castel Tirolo and the surrounding mountains.
The wellness area is open 10:00 to 18:00 every day; the saunas are open between 15:00 and 18:00.
- Wellness pack with bath robe, sandals and bath towel
On request at the reception, for a charge of € 12.00 per person per week we can provide you with a wellness pack including bath robe, sandals and large bath towel.
- Wi-Fi & Internet Point
Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere in our facilities. We also offer a PC workstation and Internet Point.

- Check-out
We would be grateful if you could vacate your room by 11:00 a.m. on the day of your departure.
- Payment method
You can pay your holiday invoice in advanced by bank transfer or by cash here at the hotel. You can also pay by EC, Master Card and Visa. For cash payment we thank you with a present.

- Tourist tax
Since 01.01.2014, the South Tyrol region requests the payment of a tourist tax of € 2.50 per night for everyone 14 years old and over. This tax is not included in the cost of your hotel booking, and must be paid at the time of departure.
